BREAKING NEWS: Arianna Huffington announced as Commencement speaker

Arianna Huffington will speak at the 151st Commencement ceremony on May 31, 2015. Huffington is the Chair, President and Editor-in-Chief of The Huffington Post Media Group. She is also the author of 14 books.

The Huffington Post was launched in May 2005 as a news and blog site that quickly became one of the most widely-read, linked and cited media brands online. In 2012, the site was awarded the first ever Pulitzer Prize for an online news journal.

Her 14th book, “Thrive: The Third Metric to Redefining Success and Creating a Life of Well-Being, Wisdom, and Wonder,” was published by Crown in March 2014 and debuted at #1 on The New York Times Bestseller list.

Born in Greece, Hufffington moved to England when she was 16. She graduated from Cambridge University with an M.A. in economics. She moved to New York in 1980. Huffington is often named as one of the most powerful and influential women in the world.
