Campus Canvas: Oct. 31

A weekly space highlighting the creative pursuits of student-artists.

Clara Pitt | Class of 2022

Photography helps me process my life and the stimuli around me; it is an exercise of reflection and speculation for me as journaling is for some. It is a way to make sense of the unknown while exploring the mystical and the limits of our under-standing. I am fascinated by memory and distortions of reality—specifically the crossroads of the two—and I try to explore that in my work. Recently I have mostly been doing street photography, but I enjoy experimental and abstract photography more.

I made this series of work, secrets of the sky, over the summer while camping with my father and brother in upstate New York. You can check out more of my work on Instagram @pittpic!
