Statement: “Running one of the last events of the meet always heightens my nerves, but my teammates laying down really impressive races before me boosted my confidence and gave me permission to go outside my comfort zone. I’m so grateful to be a first year on a team with upperclassmen who are such incredible leaders. It gives me the ability to take risks and make the most of every race. I’m learning from each race and look forward to how our team progresses as we head into championship season!”
Our goal with Brewers Ballin’ is to feature Vassar athletes who starred for their team the week previous to publishing. If you would like to nominate an athlete, please email nvillamil@vassar.edu.
