Team: Men’s basketball

Class: Junior

Stats: Junior forward Nathan Denham has been a consistent scorer and force on the glass for the Brewers this season. Denham’s 12 points, 11 rebounds, two assists, two steals, two blocks and an overtime game-winning putback layup with just 0.7 seconds left on the clock hoisted the Brewers to their first conference win this season against Hobart on Saturday, Dec. 7. The 2023-24 Liberty League All-Academic Team honoree has enjoyed a strong start to the season, shooting .615 from the field and averaging just under 10 points and six rebounds a game.

Statement: “I think we’re off to a good start this season. We lost to a talented Ohio Northern team but then beat Arcadia at the Gettysburg tip-off tournament. We picked up a road win against Sarah Lawrence the weekend after that. Then we lost to another talented New Paltz team but then had a big win against Mount St. Mary’s the next day. This past weekend we lost in a frustrating game at Ithaca but then had a great comeback overtime win against Hobart which was our first time beating them on the road in years. I’m glad that we’ve been able to get some bounce back wins after coming off of a loss the day before. We’re looking to get one last win before the break this Wednesday at Skidmore to close out the year. I’m really excited to play more league games and prove some people wrong this year. We were ranked 8th in the preseason poll, but everyone on our team believes we’re capable of much more. Our focus now is to keep proving what we’re made of and showing people what we can accomplish.”
